About Tire Changer FAQ

Why are the prices lower than the big brands?

Compared to the big brands, our marketing and promotion expenses are very low, and we invest the funds into production, development and design. The fully automatic integrated production line perfectly solves the generation of waste products.

Our reputation is consistent with the quality of our equipment. If the equipment does not work properly or we cannot support it, we risk damaging the business we have worked hard to build. We are unwilling to take this risk, and we believe that you should not either. In short, we can afford to buy the best products and use the cost savings to provide customers with the best prices. We really want our products to perform at their best after the sale.

Yes, tire changers ship with 10W oil. Check regularly and adjust to 1-2 drops per cycle.

Can a Shengshi Weiye tire changer work with run-flat tires?

Although tire changers with power assist arms can handle some run-flats, you should consult run-flat tire manufacturers for further clarifications and operation requirements.

My tire changer has been getting weaker or sticking.

Per maintenance, check and make sure you have oil. There must be at least 2 – 3 drops of oil anytime you press an air-operated pedal.

Do I need an auxiliary arm for my tire changer?

The auxiliary arm is useful when you are removing low-profile/hard sidewall tires and run-flat tires. With the auxiliary arm, removing the toughest tires becomes a one-person job instead of a three-person job. The auxiliary arm will save time and money while helping to prevent damage.

How do I know how to operate my tire changer?

Each Shengshiweiye tire changer comes with a user/operation manual that provides operator instructions. You can also talk to the salesperson for a video of the machine in action.

How do I know what wheel size the tire changer can handle?

Wheel size and clamping range are two different things. It is important to note that wheels vary by flange width, wheel lip, wheel material type, etc. Therefore, you may need a larger range to handle a specific wheel when using a wheel clamping tire changer. The clamping range is an accurate measurement, but it does not always coincide with the actual wheel size for the reasons mentioned above. If you think the largest wheel you will need to change is a 22-inch wheel, you may be safe with a machine with a 24-inch clamping range, depending on the flange thickness of the rim. If you think you may need to change a 24-inch wheel, you may want to consider a machine with a 28-inch clamping range to allow for proper clearance on different styles of wheels. Not all wheels are the same, and they change constantly.
