Car Lift Concrete Slab Requirements
Shengshi Weiye strongly recommends that you consult a concrete specialist early in the process of planning your car lift installation. The concrete specialist will tailor these recommendations based on national and regional building codes as well as local weather conditions, soil composition, foundation preparation, load bearing, seismic requirements, and any other structural issues that may arise.
Test drillings should be performed into existing concrete floors to verify minimum floor thickness and confirm architectural drawings. Core samples should be obtained and tested to verify minimum floor compressive strength. Consult architectural drawings to verify proper floor reinforcement when investigating floor characteristics.
Do not install car lifts on any surface other than concrete and comply with the minimum compressive strength, aging, reinforcement, and thickness specified in the table above. All Shengshi Weiye car lifts must be installed on concrete.
Do not install car lifts over expansion joints or over cracked or defective concrete. All 3/4-inch diameter anchors must be at least 6 inches from any expansion joints, control joints, or other inconsistencies in the concrete.

Do not install any car lift on the second floor or any ground floor with a basement below without written authorization and prior consultation and approval from the building architect.
